1Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how National Idea Design LLC ("we", "us", or "the Company") handles information in connection with the mobile application Tally ("the App"), distributed under the identifier ni.sa.tally for Apple iOS and Google Android.

This Policy applies to the App only. It does not apply to any website, service, or product other than the App and the update service described in Section 4.

Summary, provided for convenience and not in substitution for the text below: the App collects no personal data. Everything the App records remains on the user's device. The App transmits no information about the user or the user's activity to the Company or to any other party.

2Personal Data We Collect

We collect no personal data.

The Company does not collect, receive, store, process, sell, share, or disclose any personal data through the App. The App contains no user account, no registration, no login, no synchronisation service, no analytics software, no crash-reporting software, no advertising, and no third-party software development kit of any kind.

We hold no record of any user of the App, and we are unable to identify any user of the App.

3Information Stored on Your Device

The App records the following information locally on the device on which it is installed:

Counter names you enter

To label your counters

Counter values

To display and preserve your counts

A log of counter changes

Each increment and decrement, with the time it occurred, so that counts survive restarts and errors

Application preferences

Vibration, sound, colour theme, language, and layout settings

This information is stored in the App's private storage area on the device, which the operating system isolates from other applications. It is not transmitted to the Company and is not transmitted to any other party. No provision of the App sends it anywhere.

You control this information directly. You may delete an individual counter, reset a counter to zero, delete all counters, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes all of it.

This information is not backed up by the Company and cannot be recovered by the Company. Deletion is permanent as far as the Company is concerned, because the Company never held it.

4Network Communication

The App makes one network request, and makes no other.

On opening, the App requests a small file at https://tally.ni.sa/app-version.json, which states the current published version of the App. The App uses the response to inform you when an update is available.

The request has the following characteristics:

• It is an unauthenticated GET request.
• It carries no request body, no query string, and no identifier of any kind.
• It transmits nothing about you, nothing about your counters, and nothing about your use of the App.
• If it fails for any reason, including the absence of a network connection, the App continues to operate normally.

As with any request made over the internet, your device's IP address is necessarily visible to the server for the duration of the request. This is an inherent property of internet communication rather than a feature of the App.

We retain no record of it. We keep no access logs, no request logs, and no analytics of our own for this service, and we are therefore unable to determine that any particular device made the request.

The service is hosted on Cloudflare R2, and requests are served through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare processes each request, including the IP address it comes from, in order to deliver the response, and does so as our service provider under its own privacy terms. We have enabled no request logging and no analytics product on this service. Cloudflare's handling of the request is described at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

5Third Parties

Apart from the hosting provider named in Section 4, the App uses no third-party service, and we share no information with any third party, for the reason that we hold no information to share.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and, in due course, Google Play. Those platforms operate under their own privacy policies and may collect information in connection with the download, purchase, or installation of applications, including this one. That collection occurs between you and the platform operator. We receive no personal data from it.

The App contains a button which, when an update is available, opens the App's page on the relevant store. Following that link takes you to a service operated by Apple or Google and governed by their policies.

6Device Permissions

The App requests no device permissions. It does not access the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photographs, calendar, health data, or any comparable source of information.

On Android, the App declares the VIBRATE permission in order to provide vibration feedback when you tap a counter. This permission is granted automatically at installation, requires no action by you, and grants no access to information.

7Children

The App is rated suitable for users of all ages because it contains no objectionable content. It is not directed to children, and it is not offered within Apple's Kids Category.

The App collects no personal data from any user, and it therefore collects no personal data from children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13, or under the equivalent age of digital consent in the user's jurisdiction, for the reason that we collect no personal data from anyone.

8Data Retention

We retain no personal data, and accordingly operate no retention period and no deletion schedule.

Information stored on your device is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App, at which point it ceases to exist. The Company plays no part in this and holds no copy.

9Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may hold rights in respect of your personal data, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability. These include rights arising under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law, the European Union and United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation, and the California Consumer Privacy Act.

We honour these rights in full. In practice, we hold no personal data concerning you, so:

• There is no personal data for us to disclose in response to an access request.
• There is no personal data for us to erase in response to a deletion request. The information the App records is on your device, under your control, and removable by you at any time.
• We sell no personal data and share none for advertising purposes, and we have never done so.

You may exercise any of these rights, or ask us to confirm the position, using the contact details in Section 13. We will respond within the period required by the applicable law.

10International Transfers

No personal data is transferred internationally, because none is collected. The information the App records does not leave your device, and consequently does not cross any border.

11Security

Information the App stores on your device is protected by the security controls of the device's operating system, including the device-level encryption those systems apply. The App does not apply a separate layer of encryption to its database.

We operate no server holding user data and no user account system. There is accordingly no repository of user information at the Company capable of being breached.

You are responsible for the security of your device itself, including its passcode and any biometric lock. A person with access to an unlocked device can see the counters stored in the App.

12Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Where we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the head of this document and publish the revised Policy at the same address.

Where a change materially affects the treatment of personal data, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to the attention of users, including through the App's release notes.

14Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Personal Data Protection Law, without prejudice to any right afforded to you by the law of your own country of residence.
